Staying late/waking up early, fueling with local information and prospects to even hoisting the flag of our country. The room was older but pretty big and served the purpose of calm night. Was such a pleasant yet short stay, 10/10!

This retreat is located in quiet Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. The spacious rooms feature modern décor with rustic touches and living areas with flat-screen satellite TVs. Very well equipped, lovely furnishings, extras like rusks for coffee, wood and firelighters. Lovely gardens, patio to sit outside. Really enjoyed our stay.

Situated on the cliffs of De Kelders, a popular whale-watching spot in South Africa, Sea Star Cliff offers luxurious rooms overlooking the sea. The lodge features a terrace with outdoor pool. This hotel was so beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, room has the most incredible view, rooms are clean and modern. Located opposite the beach where we watched whales and orcas. There is a quick hike to a cave a couple minutes drive away. About 10 minutes from town where there are a few restaurants and most activities (whale watching, shark diving etc). Breakfast was exceptional - warm options, great coffee and a great spread. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

In the evening, spectacular sunset views await. At night, it's a perfect location for star gazing. With any weather, the views on the sea and mountains are spectacular! The central fire place makes the mornings and evenings comfy and cozy. The food is all freshly prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The host family are the warmest and gentlest we've ever met. "Be at home", they said. We were.

It was clean and neat and bright and shiny. Loved the pool deck area and we were a group of friends so was lovely to spend time together out there. Was comforting to know that the cars were safely parked behind good security.
