We had a fabulous stay in one of the most beautiful and thought-out accommodations in New Zealand! The rooms are gorgeously furbished and decorated, spacious, bright and wonderfully comfortable. The bed is just right - comfy mattress, fresh, soft linen and a lot of pillows to choose from. The small kitchenette is perfect for making a cup of coffee/tea and keeping the breakfast goodies refrigerated. We also made use of the full-size kitchen (for guests' use), barbecue and fire ring to cook our meals - all necessary cooking equipment and utensils, cutlery and crockery being provided. The walk-in shower is magnificent, with its large rain head and huge space! Besides the gorgeous double room itself, the property has countless relaxation spots to choose from - starting from your own, private terrace, to numerous lounge chairs, picnic tables, small dining areas and hammocks scattered all over the 15 acres of native rainforest! They also have the most unique treetop bath house and a perfectly placed spa pool to watch the night sky from! Talk about relaxation facilities! And, worry not, if you'd rather be active, there are several marked trails for you to venture on - passing through the river, climbing up steep slopes or through a waterfall. You could also have a swim in one of the 2 refreshing swimming holes, or even jump in one of them. And, at nighttime, you can walk with a torch through the rainforest to see glowworms (yes, they have those as well on the property!). After an adventurous day, you can eat some complimentary s'mores by the fire pit (ring). The place is perfectly located, as well - close to Coromandel's Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, etc. Last, but not least, Debbie and Ernst are the most wonderful hosts! They made us feel catered for and kept everything in tip top shape! Hats off to them!

Great opportunities to walk in the immediate neighborhood and to explore the gold-mining past of the region. The hosts, Max and Shelly were terrific and we had great conversations -- this helped us to better understand the "kiwi-ness" ... thx for that Max and Shelly !!!
