We had a truly wonderful stay at Rock Shade Chalet – Sigiriya. The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

The host was very kind and welcoming. The Sri Lankan breakfast was also very good. The room itself was the cleanest we have experienced during our trip. The accommodation is in a very quiet and serene spot and the view is very nice. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful clean cool rooms in the jungle, hardly a need for the fan even because the trees and plants keep the rooms so cool. Lovely friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfasts and dinners if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the home cooked rice and curry, it’s so tasty and the mum will cook it as spicy as you like (I like it spicy and it was so yummy compared to the bland ‘tourist curry’ they serve in a lot of the restaurants in Sri Lanka’) The son even showed me around the area, it really felt like home. Highly recommend!

Isanka Lion Lodge se nachází v destinaci Sigiriya a nabízí venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a výhled do zahrady. Majiteli jsou velmi milí a přátelští manželé, usměvaví a vždy ochotní pomoci. Pokoj krásný, čistý a na skvělém místě, jen kousek od Lion Rock. Bazén také super, osvětlený, bylo možné ho používat i za tmy. Jídlo skvělé, nebyl problém připravit nám snídani i velmi brzy ráno. Moc děkujeme a určitě doporučujeme.

Honestly, the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! Out of all 7 weeks in Sri Lanka our 3 nights here were the best, and it was 90% due to this Homestay!!! We felt amazingly at home! Chamika was WONDERFUL. He hiked up to pidurangula with us and brought us surprise coffee in a coconut, and didn’t ask for anything in return! We did a cooking class and ate some of the best food ever, and chamika went to swim in a lake with us! The room was as exactly as described with comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing everyday and just laying on the rock with a view of the lake was stunning! Overall if I could rate this place 1000 stars I would! Thank you guys so much!

Back of Beyond - Pidurangala se nachází uprostřed přírodní krajiny a nabízí klidné útočiště ve městě Sigiriya. The name says it all. Its a true back of beyond experience. You are in the forest/jungle and you get the full jungle experience. There Is nothing to worry about though. At night time you may hear strange noises but feel completely safe. Also the food made there personaly for you is Excellent and at a reasonable price. The staff are also very helpful . Totally recomended.
