B The Guest Downtown is a stylish, artsy boutique hotel in an absolutely perfect location for exploring Porto – right across from a vibrant, modern market. The room was beautiful and spacious, and the hotel has a lovely dining area where breakfast was also good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note: there’s a lift, but it’s only for suitcases. Overall, it’s very good value for money – we really enjoyed our stay!

The place doubles up as student dormitory and a hotel and had really neat social areas. Things like pool and table tennis available for free. The biggest surprise was the laundry on site had no charge. Just simply download their app and book a machine. Plus that beautiful McDonald's is literally a 5 min walk down the hill.

Staff were super helpful, suggesting best places to visit and to eat at. The environment of the hotel is so calming, you forget you're in the middle of a city. The room was perfect, spacious, and they provided us with everything we could need for our daughter, a high chair, cot, changing mat and even a baby bath. Everyone was so nice to her and accommodating. The heated pool was lovely to enjoy. Really such a luxurious stay and will definitely be staying here again, when we come to Porto. Metro is just round the corner but it is also walking distance to almost all attractions. Just a 25 mins walk to the river side and 15 mins walk to the famous bridge. Plenty of restaurants around as well.

Clean, comfortable, amazing staff, good breakfast, central location - we have found THE best place in Porto - will happily come again... My 7yo daughter enjoyed the pool even during the rain (which was our compromise for the sightseeing and wine-tasting part :))

The food at the hotel was very good, the choices at breakfast were varied and were excellent. On two evenings we had dinner at the restaurant El Basilico and the food was outstanding. The location is very convenient and is walking distance to the major sights ie the market, Time Out the church the famous bookstore and the Majestic Cafe. Excellent staff, very attentive and responsive. I would like to mention Pedro at the front desk, he really went above and beyond to ensure that we had an excellent stay.

The staff is very friendly and open. We have never taken breakfast at the hotel, but we were free to use the dishes and microwave. The location was perfect, a minute walk from Saint Catherine church. Also good price for a decent suite.

    The market building was closed (may 2022) to renovate.

    The market building was closed (may 2022) to renovate. The sellers were at another buiding close by, which we visited. The thing is that the fun is the building itself, which is old and beautiful, but we couldn't see inside.
