Right opposite the gates of Fontevraud Abbey and totally in keeping with the ambience. Room 25 was superb, we loved it. Food was fabulous and the staff were lovely. Pearl is wonderful - she welcomed us with a glass of rosé wine, some nibbles and chocolates! A mine of information, she even phoned the restaurant (which we'd already booked) to make sure we got the cosy table by the log fire! Breakfast was delicious and excellent value for money! If you're visiting Fontevraud Abbey her house is brilliantly placed almost opposite the entrance and the restaurant was a 2 minute walk! (Chinon and Saumur and other major Loire attractions are also easy to reach by car.)Guest review byPaulFrance
