Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything was perfect. We booked two nights and enjoyed different dinner every night. Every tiny detail of the accommodation was thoughtfully planned. Special thanks to the young singer, her performance was superb.

The opportunity to stay in a Japanese villa, in a great location by Lake Ashi, with a kitchen and plenty of space was amazing. Then, the hot springs shower and tub was super special. It truly was healing to our bodies that were a bit worn out from travel. Yes, stay here! We hope to stay longer next time. It was a little hard to find. Yet, a kind gentleman was watching out for us and directed us.

Our stay at Yupopo was truly wonderful. Dai was an incredibly friendly and helpful host who made us feel right at home. This was by far the best place we stayed during our three-week Japan trip! The beds were super comfortable, and we loved wearing the yukata. The onsen at the homestay was relaxing, and Dai’s breakfast was simple yet delicious. A special touch was the homemade soy milk brownies he served upon arrival — such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would love to return. 🥰❤️

WeBase Kamakura is a resort hotel and restaurant in the ancient capital of Kamakura, one minute from the Shonan sea and one hour from the city. Staffs are nice! Facilities are convenient. Breakfast is tasty and healthy! Location is perfect!

Surrounded by nature in Hakone, the Senkyoro Ryokan boasts a terrace and an open-air hot spring overlooking the mountains. Free WiFi is available in the lobby area. This place was amazing! The staff were so professional, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming—they really went above and beyond to make our stay special. You can easily book a private hot spring bath for a very reasonable price, which we loved. Even the items for sale at the property were fairly priced. The location is super convenient too, right next to the bus stop, so getting around was easy. The ryokan-style meals were absolutely delicious, and if you stay here, don’t miss out on their dinner—it’s a must-try!
