The place is just beautiful!! Fully renovated and very well thought out. We had the 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms on the top floor which had a spectacular view of the rolling hills of Barolo. A nice kitchen for breakfasts and the parking is perfect. We felt right at home. It’s nice to have restaurants nearby that you can walk to if you do not wish to drive out. Bellissimo posto Francesca! The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Domodossola, while also positioned at the entrance to Bognanco Valley, providing easy access to hiking trails that lead into the valley and the hills surrounding the city. This makes it an excellent base for both day hikes and city excursions. During renovation, the owners kept the traditional exterior but fully modernized the interior, which consists of a living room with a kitchen area and a separate bathroom. The bathroom had a shower with excellent water pressure and plenty of towels, while the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed to cook, including a capsule coffee machine. The sofa bed was comfortable and sturdy and had more than enough space for me. The thermostat is adjustable, and despite the chilly weather during my stay, the apartment was cozy and warm. In addition to the lovely apartment, it was the warm welcome from my host, Anna, that made my stay truly unforgettable. Not only is she friendly, warm, and easy to talk to, but she also made herself available for any needs I had during my stay, even offering to drive me to places that were difficult to reach on foot. Having lived in the region for over 30 years, Anna is an invaluable source of information about everything from local history and culture to tourist activities, which was especially helpful for a spontaneous traveler like me who didn’t have any fixed plans before arriving. For hikers, Anna provides guidebooks and topographic maps from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club), perfect for choosing a day hike. In short, Anna takes hospitality very seriously and goes above and beyond the standard you would expect in most hotels or vacation rentals; she truly makes you feel at home and is passionate about sharing her love for the region.
