We had a very nice and big room, also to mention a spacious balcony where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. Thanks to the nice staff we really enjoyed our stay. Nothing to complain about!

Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!

Breakfast was included in our package and there was more than plenty of different foods to choose from. Cold cereals, yogurts, assorted buns, croissants, sliced bread for toast, jams, fresh honey, selection of sliced meats and cheese, boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, sautéed vegetables, freshly sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, assorted fruits… and if that’s not enough, you can order scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelettes or waffles once you’re seated. Staff is super friendly and helpful, reception staff speaks several languages so no problems for communication. For our first week, we stayed in the ‘attic’ room overlooking the ocean because it was the only room available at the time and we were not sure what to expect, but the room was great, view was awesome, even with no balcony. The window spans from wall to wall and even opens! No regrets. For our second week, we booked a superior room with a balcony and sea view, breakfast included. This hotel has a great lunch and dinner menu with top rated chef and cooking staff. Food has been delicious. Just to note, the cleaning staff is excellent and if you need any extras they bring it to you quickly. We had free parking available at this hotel. There are a few more hotels in this vicinity, but this hotel cannot be beat. This is our second time at Tamaris hotel. Thank you
