We are retired and have travelled the world extensively. We know when a hotel is not up to expectations (and have walked out of a couple after just a few hours). This place was exceptional. I just reread the past comments - accept what all the good ones say at face value because they reflect our experience there. Irini was exceptional on the front desk and Elizabeth, who cleaned our room every day, was exceptional! When I read each negative review I wondered if they are referring to a different hotel. If those people were expecting a $500 a night experience they should have stayed in a $500 a night hotel - there are lots to choose from on the island. Having a rental car I found there was always a parking space to return to without having the negotiate the narrow streets of the inner town. My wife’s main criteria is a comfortable bed and a clean room and environment. Mohitero got 5/5 on both. We really enjoyed the gardens and the birds and the peace and quiet. We would have no hesitation returning. It was a nice place to come “home” to after a busy day. The pictures on Booking reflect what was saw while there.

Hyperion City Hotel & Spa se află pe malul mării în Chania și oferă cazare de 4 stele, o piscină în aer liber, un centru de fitness și un lounge comun. All the staff were super friendly. We already felt welcome when arrived. Our room had a fantastic view to the beach and we enjoyed sitting there watching the sea and sunset. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Got a nice welcome drink from the bar and some free drinks in the minibar. Breakfast was good too. All in all, we really enjoyed the time with you and thank you so much!

Mrs. Lia, the bar attendant, has overwhelmed us with warmth, excellent recommendations and exceptional drinks. Our cleaning lady has graciously accommodated our schedule and has taken very good care of our room and ourselves and whishing us a very good day with a smile every time. The reception has facilitated everything we needed, from early checking to early departure. Truly professional!
