Our recent stay at Sandalwood Downs Fabulous Farm Stay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, Jane and Marc welcomed us not just as guests but as family. Their warmth, generosity, and genuine hospitality created an atmosphere that was both comforting and uplifting. We were greeted by their delightful puppies: Harry, Jasper, Lulu, and Chardet. Each had their own charming personality and an endless appetite for pats and belly rubs. They instantly won over our hearts and set the tone for what would be a truly special experience. This was our first ever farm stay and it far surpassed anything we imagined. Forget petting zoos—this was immersive, authentic, and deeply moving. Jane’s personal tour of the farm was a highlight, not just for the hands-on experience but for the stories behind each animal. Knowing that every creature was a rescue added a layer of meaning that touched us deeply. It’s rare to find a place where compassion and care are so beautifully woven into the experience. Days have passed since our visit and yet our children are still talking about it with wide-eyed wonder. The memories made here will stay with us forever. Sandalwood Downs isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a place to feel, connect, and be inspired. Thank you, Jane and Marc, for opening your hearts and your home. We can’t wait to return.

It is on the doorstep of what we considered a fantastic part of Mandurah with a variety of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The pool area has views across to the calm Indian ocean. We had the pleasure of meeting both Ron and Margaret who were so kind and attentive. Their knowledge of the local area is second to none and the apartment was so very well equipped with such a large comfortable bed and huge balcony. We would highly recommend a stay here at room 210 seashells it’s just fab!

The House is on a corner right on the edge of Denham overlooking the national park and towards the ocean. They're renting out three spaces, of which I stayed in the yellow room on the top floor. It had everything you could possibly need for a few day's stay (I'd have gladly stayed longer!) and then some. The room itself is comfortable, spacious and clean and was very quiet after sunset. There are a fridge, kettle and toaster in the room as well as the kitchen cutlery etc, and then I shared an outside kitchen (VERY complete incl. dishwasher, microwave and bbq!) with the other room on the top floor. The breakfast was great, with a daily choice of many different things that could be part of a breakfast. What really makes this stay extra special were the sunsets! The house has a spectacular view, and the owners, Kerrie and Phil, have maximized the lay-out for you to experience that as much as possible with a comfy couch, a well placed jacuzzi and a large dining table. Around dusk the local wildlife comes by and you'll get to know a few of the regular characters during your stay :). I had a wonderful stay and will remember this special place for a long time.
