A scenic 1.5 hour drive from Cape Town and situated on a farm just 15km from Tulbagh, Riverbank offers a relaxing getaway in a unique rural setting.
This spacious house has a large stoep with stunning mountain views and is the perfect spot from which to watch the springbok and zebras grazing while you relax next to the braai. Enjoy walks and cycling, visit historic Tulbagh or one of the many wine farms nearby.
There's a large communal pool for summer and an indoor fire for cold nights.
Your host is available to help with any problems or to answer any questions.
The closest towns are Wolseley 6km, Tulbagh 17km and Ceres 21km in the Western Cape.
The area has a number of top wine and olive estates (Saronsberg, Montpellier, Manley, Morgansvlei, De Oude Drostdy, Rijks, Twee Jonge Gezellen, Theuniskraal, Lemberg, Oudekloof, Waverly Hills and Oakhurst).
During the winter some of the surrounding mountains are snow covered and we are only 38 km away from the Matroosberg Nature reserve & mountains.
The Wolseley/Tulbagh area has a number of walking and mountain bike trails.
The town of Ceres offers a number of activities (zip line, golf, tennis, Togryers museum, Fynbos nature reserve).
The Historic town of Tulbagh has an earthquake museum, horse trails, Waterval nature reserve, historic Church street houses and restaurants)
