A beautiful cabin and comfortable home stay, Woods Upon A Time in Murphy, North Carolina, is abundant with coziness and adventure potential. Soaring ceilings in this newly remodeled, modern-rustic, 2/2 cabin with spacious kitchen and beautiful stacked stone, wood burning fireplace, both newly redesigned featuring black granite countertops and hearth. At an elevation of 1,909 ft we are situated between the Nantahala National Forest and the Chattahoochee National Forest. Large front porch and cozy fire pit overlook a pond across the road and sloping hillside landscaping. Relax and enjoy our beautiful cabin, lovingly outfitted with cabin décor and redesigned in 2020 specifically for the purpose of a couple or small family getaway from urban life.
A lot of labor and love has gone into Woods Upon a Time to make it warm and inviting and give you the coziest feelings of home...from the flooring and the tongue-and-groove ceilings that we cut and installed ourselves to the gorgeous stacked stone fireplace, to the 8-foot barn door separating the main living area from the bedrooms. In fact, we’ve done all of the remodeling, and have our hearts into making this the best it could possibly be for our family, and yours as well. We really hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We are committed to providing an extraordinary experience. From cleanliness to comfort, we had you in mind with each piece we placed. Just want to stay in? No problem. We've got a cozy wood burning fireplace, a fire pit, front porch with pond view to relax and watch wildlife, games, puzzles, DISH TV channels and internet.
Your getaway story awaits with SO MANY activities within a short drive, including hiking, boating, fishing, rafting, canoeing, ziplining, kayaking, snow skiing, mountain biking, river tubing, horseback riding, rodeo watching, gem mining, cave tours, festivals, breweries, wineries, train rides in nearby GA towns of Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Helen, Cleveland, the NC towns of Nantahala, Bryson City, Franklin, & Hayesville, Waynesville, Highlands and Maggie Valley and the TN towns of Chattanooga, Ocoee, Tellico Plains, Sweetwater and more. Murphy itself, the "City of Flowers", is known for its beautiful downtown with wonderful restaurants, shops and a 3.4 mile Nature Riverwalk, very popular with locals and tourists alike, as well as Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino. Or just take a nice drive along one of the many roads with scenic overlooks and waterfall stop offs.
