There are hiking, cross-country ski and snow mobile trails (major trail - ITS 83 and trail 74) almost at your doorstep along with kayaking, fishing and loads of outdoor recreational options. Adult Pet(s), 2 max, may be allowed on an individual basis (MUST be pre-approved) - contact host to request.

I am an empty nester who loves to travel and meet people from all over the world. I am away a lot but live in the separate, walk-out basement apartment downstairs when home (private entry, no facilities shared with guests except driveway). Beautiful countryside right on the shores of Echo Lake on the northern tip of the Aroostook State Park, just off US Highway 1. The Presque Isle snowmobile clubhouse is right by the park. The balloon park (site of the first transatlantic hot air balloon launch) is 2 mins down the road and is also on the snowmobile trail. You can walk, bike or cross-country ski to the nearby park but will need a vehicle or taxi (Uber occasionally available) for shops downtown. The Presque Isle regional airport in town, 5 miles from the house, has connections to many destinations flying United via Newark.
