The property is bordered by national park land on two sides and is 1.5 miles from foot access into the park. The charming town of Luray, and its caverns as well as its restaurants and conveniences, is 15 minutes away. Car access to a SNP entrance is available to the north & south, 30-40 minutes in each direction.

Our property is bordered on two sides by national park land, on one side by a wooded tract screening a neighbor about 100 yards away, and on the last side by a road that dead ends 1.5 miles uphill.
The house is near the road and you will see/hear a car every 10-90 minutes every day, but only if you are upstairs with the windows open or in the carport or front yard. There are spurts of car traffic as the first and last park employees pass each day, perhaps 3 or 4 cars together at 8 am and 10 pm respectively, but otherwise the road is pretty quiet.
We have one neighbor through the wood line that has a small dog that you can hear in the distance at times. There can also be birds, coyotes and cows at night if you sleep with the windows open. Generally speaking, the property is very quiet, has excellent night sky viewing and pretty solid privacy as long as you aren't in the front yard.
There is parking for up to three cars next to the road. There is one carport space.
