Hi everyone, my name is Ian! I am a a passionate host, life coach, musician, and world adventurer. My whole life, I have loved sharing memorable experience with friends and family. I grew up right by the shore in Connecticut, but have since become a digital nomad and traveled the world! I decided to become a host because I wanted to create beautiful spaces for families and friends to spend cherished time together.
SIGHTSEEING AND ATTRACTIONS:
Downtown Gatlinburg is just minutes away and full of family favorites. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is always a highlight, with Shark Lagoon, Ray Bay, and Penguin Playhouse. For lighthearted fun, try Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini-Golf with its themed courses, or take a ride on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster through the trees.
The Gatlinburg Space Needle rises 407 feet for a 360° view, and SkyLift Park is another great way to see the Smokies from above. Kids also enjoy Wild Bear Falls Water Park, with slides, pools, and a big treehouse. For shopping, The Village Shops offer a tucked-away cluster of boutiques and cafés downtown.
Just a short drive away, Dollywood in Pigeon Forge is one of the area’s biggest attractions, with rides, live shows, and plenty of food — a full day of fun for families and groups of all ages. //
HIKES & OUTDOORS:
Start at the Sugarlands Visitor Center, where you’ll find exhibits, rangers, and maps to plan your day. From here, some of the Smokies’ most loved trails are easy to reach.
For a short and family-friendly option, Grotto Falls is shaded and lets you walk right behind the waterfall. A step up is Rainbow Falls, the tallest single-drop waterfall in the park, where you might catch a rainbow in the mist on sunny days. For a bigger challenge, Alum Cave Trail to Mount Le Conte rewards hikers with landmarks like Arch Rock and Inspiration Point along the climb. //
FOOD & DRINK
Gatlinburg’s local restaurants make it easy to satisfy any craving. Start your morning at Crockett’s Breakfast Camp, famous for its hearty portions and rustic mountain charm, then enjoy a classic dinner at The Alamo Steakhouse, a long-time favorite for perfectly cooked steaks.
