Welcome to Surry, Maine! We hope you enjoy your stay here and in the surrounding communities. It is a beautiful and interesting coastal area that offers quite a range of outdoor pleasures, including biking, hiking, birding and swimming. In addition, there are a wealth of arts offering and fine food and drink establishments. We are surrounded by the beauty of Acadia National Park with striking vistas of Cadillac Mountain. We are also about five minutes walking distance to Morgan Bay and the Carter Nature Preserve trail along the ocean. Farther along Cross Road on the left are the Furth and Talalay Trails to our local wetlands. All of these trails provide an abundance of wildlife for the avid birder and wildlife lover. In the spirit of the farm and the vision of bringing people together through music and the arts, we hope you not only find respite in the cottage but also connect with the land, the nature and the artistic and cultural offerings of the area. The area is full of opportunities and interests. There are many cultural offerings, near-by charming small towns, a range of excellent food establishments, ocean, birding, a wet lands preserve ("water, water everywhere"), a performing arts center on the property and an adjacent meditation center less than a ten minute walk away.
