周边信息
Lodi, California, is a city located in the Central Valley, known primarily for its wine production, particularly Zinfandel. The region’s agricultural roots go back to the 1800s, when settlers established farms, and the area began developing a reputation for wine in the early 20th century. Lodi's wine industry boomed after Prohibition, and today, it's one of California's most prominent wine regions, with over 85 wineries.
The city was originally founded in 1869 as a railway town under the name Mokelumne. In 1874, it was renamed Lodi, possibly after the Italian city or due to local settlers' ties. Lodi’s economy historically revolved around agriculture, with grapes, almonds, and walnuts being major crops. Today, its wine heritage, especially Zinfandel, draws visitors, making it a hub for wine tourism.
