The UNESCO protected Škocjan, Divača, and Vilenica caves are just a few kilometers away, and the famous Grotta Gigante (Borgo Grotta Giggante) located near Trieste is around 30 minutes drive away. Nearby villages offer several restaurants where you can sample traditional dishes accompanied by a good wine, and unique white Lipizzaner horses stables are just 15 minutes drive away. In just over half an hour, you can reach Opatija (Croatia), with its splendid waterfront and restaurants serving traditional delicacies.
