The house was built in 1942, it is about 70 square meters and it accommodates up to 4 people. The living room has a couch, a fireplace, a Smart-TV with DVD-player. The kitchen has everything you need as you can see on the pictures. You’ll find two bedrooms with 1 bed each (160x200 centimetres). One room has a baby bed too. We have some bikes in the basement which you can use. On the veranda on the back of the house you can sit, relax and there’s the sauna, which you can use. It’s working with electricity. The house is located by the village road to Fågelfors otherwise it is surrounded by trees.

We are a german couple with a love for Sweden. We bought the house in 2017, we started to renovate it in 2018, built a completely new bathroom, a new veranda and sauna. We offer the house to rent since 2019. As we are not there all the time, we have some people who take care of the house, who are there to welcome you, give you the keys and charge you the additional costs (wood 100 Swedish Crowns per basket, electricity 7 Swedish Crowns, internet - as written on the booking rules).

The house is located in Fågelfors, a little village in the Högsby-municipality. Here you’ll find a store (Tempo), a pub (Fågelfors värdshus) and some nice lakes to swim in. During summer time there’s also a Café by one of the lakes (road to Virserum). Fågelfors is a little village in the woods of Småland, but near to some pretty interesting places: it takes you an hour to reach Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren’s world with museum and amusement park. It takes an hour to reach Kalmar with it’s famous castle and you reach beautiful Växjö within an hour. Nearby the house you’ll find some very nice places, like cafés, restaurants, skiing lifts, museums, shops and you can find places where you can buy local food like cheese, honey or sylt (jam).
