Here at Harbour Views in Taupo, we are an 8 minute stroll over the Waikato River (bridge) into the township. Walk down Tongariro Street and you will be impressed by our impressive Lake Taupo with the snow clad mountains beyond Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe which is about a 1 hour drive away. Your accomodation is our homes downstairs unit and is self contained and a 5 minute stroll to a lovely beach at the end of our street. Obviously with the name Harbour Views we have a marina housing alot of boats a 2 minute walk away. We look forward to hosting you.

My husband Jim and I have been hosting guests here since 2017 and thoroughly enjoy meeting people from all over the world and here in New Zealand. We also enjoy going away in our caravan, spending time with our large family, hiking and biking.

We live on a quiet street, close to town (8 minute stroll) where there are great restaurants, a childrens playground beside our local museum and a few icecream parlours. At the end of Tongariro Street is a photo taking opportunity in front of the 'I Love Taupo' sign looking across the lake with Mountains in the background, these are approx a 1 hour drive away. Mount Tauhara is viewed from the dining room in the accommodation and a 8 minute drive away, and climb takes around 1 and a half hours up and1 hour down with stunning views at the top. Lots of boat trips on Lake Taupo are always popular as is mountain biking in our bike park 'Craters of the Moon" not to mention 3 different hot pools to soak in and relax.
