A homely comfy holiday home right in Turangi (50 km from Taupo), all amenities you'd want in a family home. Warm in winter and close to fishing, walking, boating, skiing, mountain biking, and Tokaanu Hot Pools. Fully equipped kitchen with spacious gardens to enjoy. Fully fenced. Our home is in a quiet urban setting and only 5 minutes walk to the world famous Tongariro River. Close to supermarket and town. Cafes, take outs and restaurants all close by. We are an ideal base for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and we are avid anglers who will smoke your catch for you. We do have only one small separate toilet and one small bathroom with shower that large groups need to be aware of, but most guests manage quite well. The home has a lovely homely feel with a mix of retro and modern and all the quirks of a family holiday home.
Welcome to our home. We love to host guests. Janeve works as a teacher and Clint is semi retired but working in community groups. We are also travellers and welcome you to enjoy our home. Dogs are welcome (by arrangement). Clint loves to play guitar and sing especially folk / country music. Clint also loves gardening, boating, walking and fishing for the world class trout in the local rivers and lakes.
This is an urban and quiet setting amongst gardens in central suburban Turangi town. There are trees and birds and we are very close to river. Turangi has many good cafe's and restaurants. We have a well stocked New World Supermarket in town. You can catch trout in the world famous Tongariro River or Taupo Lake. A great base for the Tongariro Crossing Hike.
