Newly built house surrounded and secured by a wall and gate can accommodate 2 to 6 persons. Situated in a very quiet area, this cosy house has a fabulous view on the lagoon and grazing land around. This 3-bedroom house consist of 2 air-conditioned double rooms with king size bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. Bed linen and towels are provided. Modern open plan lounge with a flat screen TV with local channels. There is also a washing machine but to be used with moderation due to scarcity of water. A well-equipped kitchen with rice cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, oven and cooking utensils are provided.
Marie Michelle, the housemaid comes every 2 days for the cleaning. The service of the housemaid is included in the rent. She can also prepare breakfast and any other specialities of the island on demand. The gardener will be too pleased to get fresh fish, octopus and other seafoods.
The best way to visit Rodrigues is to rent a 4 x 4 or a motorbike. The roads are in good condition. Rodrigues is a small island with no traffic. Buses pass not far from the house. Citron Donis is 6 minutes drive from St Gabriel famous for its cathedral, 10 minutes to Mont Lubin and 15 minutes to Port Mathurin where you will find banks, bakery, small supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants and also a wine store and its famous saturday morning market.
