We are Geraldine (the daughter) and Roselyn (the mother) and we are looking forward to welcome you on the shores of Grand Gaube. This typical fisherman village is the perfect hideaway for simplicity, authenticity, and relaxation.
More 100 years of stories link our family to this village. It started with our ancestor who donated a piece of land to build St. Michael's Church. Later my grandfather (Roselyn’s dad) who enjoyed fishing and fell in love with the place decided to build a second home, a bungalow on the beach for school holidays.
At that time, living in the city was a must. Soon his sisters would follow his example and Grand Gaube became the holiday and weekend headquarters for this large family. In the late 1970s, many family members settled there permanently.
As at today, 4 generations of siblings and cousins are living here.
Grand Gaube is the perfect place for sea lovers – kite lessons, cruising inside the mangrove, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and diving, bbq pic nic or camping on an inhabited islet, traditional fishing in the pirogue or simply enjoy the cool and refreshing sea breeze and endless panoramas.
Accessible on foot: supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, fisherman's landing, bus stop serving Grand Baie, Goodlands and Pamplemouses/Port Louis.
