The Sliema Suites are just 4 minutes’ walk from the crystal-clear blue seas and the promenade. Sliema is now one of the top commercial districts in Malta, where all the leading designer shopping outlets, restaurants and cafés can be found. As you walk down to the sea, you’ll find Balluta square, leading you to a small sandy beach. Famous for its unique emerald waters and soft sands, it’s a delightful place to pause, unwind, and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. At just over 2km, Sliema’s seaside promenade is one of the longest stretches of unobstructed open sea views to be enjoyed anywhere in urban Malta. Anytime during the day, you can enjoy a jog by the sea, stop for a coffee or freshly pressed juice from the cafés and kiosks lining the promenade. Malta's cool crowd flocks here to eat, drink, shop and party. If you're looking for a base that mingles cosmopolitan sparkle with quiet backstreets, this is the perfect choice. The Sliema waterfront is edged by flattish rocks, with stepped access at various points. There are also facilities for hire (sunbeds, water sports) at the private lidos scattered along the coast. The rectangular rock-cut pools, sheltered from open sea currents and equipped with swimming pool ladders are commonly referred to as Roman Baths, however they probably date to the much more recent Victorian era. As you walk out of The Sliema Suites, you can wander off into the web of backstreets. You’ll stumble across fancy colonnades, colourful Maltese balconies and art deco and art nouveau facades that once defined Sliema’s urban landscape. The ferry boat from Sliema to Valletta, is both a convenient and enjoyable way to travel between these two prominent locations. The Sliema ferry service allows you to travel in style, while enjoying a view of the Marsamxett Harbour, Manoel Island and Valletta bastions. At The Sliema Suites, you are just next door to the main attractions of Sliema, whilst still enjoying the peace of the peace of the old Sliema.
