In order to avoid any unpleasant surprises, we would like to clarify a few points:
The house is not suitable for people with mobility issues. You have to climb some fairly high steps to get to the house, which can be difficult and tiring. There are also two staircases inside, one to access the first floor, another to access the terrace.
The house is not suitable for young children. The windows and the terrace are not secured and can represent a danger for them. Children must always remain under the supervision of an adult.
Finally, despite all the care we take to keep the house healthy and clean, it is an old house, by the sea, in a popular area. There may be humidity (especially in winter), there may be dust, there may be gulls that soil the terrace, there may be unwanted insects... It is not some negligence on our part. A housekeeper comes before each stay and cleans the house from top to bottom. These are the inconvenients of this type of house. When deciding to stay with us, you should not expect to find the services of a luxury hotel. You will nevertheless find there the charm of the old and the traditional with all the modern conveniences.
We also bring to your attention that the city is likely to reduce the water flow at certain times of the year (especially in summer) and/or at certain times of the day, due to a shortage of water in the Morocco. This can cause water pressure drops in the house.
An authentic charm, an exceptional view, a picturesque setting!
This Moroccan house, located in the heights of the old medina, near the tomb of the explorer Ibn Battuta, overlooks the old town and dominates the bay of Tangier. Housed in a tower of the ramparts, it is part of the historical heritage of the city. Its roof terrace offers one of the most beautiful views of the city! It is the ideal place to discover the essential district of the old medina of Tangier.
Nestled at the top of the city and dominated by the Kasbah surrounded by its old 15th century ramparts, the medina of Tangier is an essential popular district, the oldest in the city. Out of time, each alley, each passage, each door bears witness to the past of this mythical place steeped in history which seduces with its authentic and picturesque charm, as well as its warm and very special atmosphere. It is a pleasure to get lost in its maze of narrow and colorful streets, to have a good mint tea in one of its many restaurants or cafes, and to admire the splendor of Moroccan craftsmanship in its various small shops and souks. Settled in Tangier for a few years, I particularly appreciate this city where life is good. If you are passing through Tangier, I would be delighted to host you and guide you in your discovery of this beautiful Moroccan city, nicknamed "the pearl of the North".
