Dar Ait Bouguemez is a comfortable guest house situated in the Ighirine village in the Ait Bougumaz valley. It is 4 hours by road to the southeast of Marrakech. Situated in the heart of the majestic Atlas Mountains, it is framed by the Azourki (3776m) and Wawglzate (3900m) summits in the background. From the terrace dominating the valley, the guests feel like they are on top of the world. The immense garden and the mosaic of landscapes invite meditation and contemplation.
Five bedrooms as well as the spacious common living spaces of this accommodation offer a variety of arrangements which allow the guests to have a pleasant stay.
Our formulae
At the crossroads of several hiking trails traversing the High Atlas Mountains; the Dar Ait Bougumaz team proposes sojourns as rich as they are varied. From a one night stay to several days trips from this starting point; this quality accommodation offers the possibility of radiating out on the paths of surrounding summits but also the discovery of the Izourar lake and its high mountain pastures inhabited by the desert nomads.
A stay at Dar Ait Bougumaz is the ideal opportunity for patrons wishing to get acquainted with the Berber culture. Because of its situation in the center of the village, its closeness to the scenes of everyday life, the house favors numerous meetings with the inhabitants in their environment.
Food is prepared with fresh products. In the summer, vegetables come from local productions. The team at Dar Ait Bougumaz will adapt to the guests’ desires and guests will be given the choice between meals at the house or picnic baskets to take during your hikes.

Still protected from the effects of the modern world; the high valley of Ait Bougumaz knew how to preserve its authenticity throughout time and the hazards of opening up to the world.
