Arhimser Villa, in Ranna, Tangalle has direct access to the beach 30 meters away. Built on one acre of prime beachfront land it has 4 large 42 sqm bedrooms with AC and WIFI. The 4 rooms can accommodate 8 and 2 extra beds at USD 40 each can be added to house 10 guests. Each double room has a king bed for 2. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with a manicured lawn, fragrant frangipani, water lilies, mango and coconut trees and rare natural fauna and vegetation make it a hidden gem ensconced midst the serenity of nature. The lounge area and bedrooms provide a magnificent view of the ocean and pool. Meals can be taken indoors or outside in the wood fired BBQ cabana near the beach or in the rear open deck overlooking the pool. The furniture is traditional teak wood with the walls adorned with original paintings of budding local artists. The staff quarters are 20 meters away on the premises. Breakfast, taxes and daily service is included in the villa rate. Guests staying for 7 nights get: (a) free airport pick up OR drop off travelling together (b) free wash only laundry service (c) option to buy groceries using free services of chef to prepare meals. Where this option is exercised, the villa does not provide free breakfast except the first breakfast on the day after arrival. We also have a BB menu comprising western and local dishes which guests can order. Lunch or dinner is priced in the range of USD 11-14 and vegetarian, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, kids meals and deserts are priced in the USD 4-8 range. Guests unable to use their credit cards or make online wire transfers in USD are welcome to pay us on arrival in Euro dollar or USD or LKR cash notes. We accept USD, Euro dollar and LKR cash notes as well as Mastercard and Visa.

Staff at all times tirelessly give their best to ensure that guests needs and requirements are catered to. We assist with arranging road transportation to places of interest, excursions, and special meals requested. We do not get a commission from any of our suppliers or transport service providers and you can negotiate prices directly with those listed with the villa. We are a fully serviced beach villa with daily cleaning services and licensed by the Sri Lanka Tourism Authority ( Tourism Board). We do not sell liquor or wines but guests are welcome to bring their own supplies for consumption at the villa at no extra cost. For those who enjoy a wine or a tot of liquor we recommend that the local Rockland Gin with tonic or the local beers are really popular and world class and relatively inexpensive. The villa is exclusively for the use of the residents and we do not allow outsiders to use our facilities. The Southern coastline where the villa is located is the most popular tourist belt in the country. The largest two game parks Yala and Udawalawe, surfing, snorkeling, diving and swimming beaches, the UNESCO listed Heritage City of Galle, the whale and dolphin beaches, the turtle hatcheries and the blow hole, the hill town of Ella with its cool climate, the famous Ravana waterfall, the 9 arches railway bridge, the tea plantations are all within easy access.

The largest game reserves in Sri Lanka, Uda Walawe and Yala are about a 90-120 minute drive from the villa. The International Golf Resort is a 20 minutes drive. There are plenty of surf and swimming beaches in the neighborhood where sea bathing is safe during most of the year. The beach outside the villa is swimmable during the high season when the sea is calm. The popular and well known Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary is a 10 minute drive and the Bundala Bird Sanctuary a 60 minute drive. A visit to the local markets, participate in assisting the fishermen draw their nets with their day's catch and watch the fishermen catching prawns at dusk in the lagoon 100 meters away. Lagoon prawns, crabs and lobster dishes can be prepared if advance notice is given. We have secured special rates for vehicles from outside service suppliers for day trips to the UNESCO listed Heritage city of Galle, the game reserves Yala and Udawalawe the elephant orphanage, Mirissa and Dickwella for whale and dolphin sighting and the surf and snorkeling and diving beaches in the neighborhood near Mirissa and Dikwella. Walking tours and boat trips to the lagoon for bird watching are arranged. A walk on the beach on a full moon night may see turtles laying their eggs on shore. The popular hill town of Ella with its 9 arches railway bridge, cool climate, the Ravana waterfalls, the tea plantations and the walking treks through the rolling mountains and valleys with its magnificent fauna and flora is a day trip. Turtle beach is a short distance away from the villa and there are other beaches within close access like Hiriketiya and Unawathune where one can swim with the turtles. The famous Katharagama religious festival is held in August where devotees from all over the island participate in amazing rituals including fire walking, dancing to the rhythm of the drums and invoking the blessings of the Gods. A cultural experience like no other.
