Manabi-stay Takayama SAKURA is located just 200 meters from the "old streets". You can enjoy tasting local sake while eating Takayama's famous Mitarashi dumplings or Hida beef nigirizushi. There are also many restaurants nearby where you can enjoy lunch at a traditional buckwheat noodle shop or enjoy Hida beef. There are also many izakaya (Japanese style pubs) around Manabi-stay Takayama SAKURA. One of the best ways to enjoy the local signature dishes, hoba-yaki and pickled steak, while strolling around Takayama at night, which creates a different atmosphere from that of the day. A traditional Japanese game of bow and arrow (han-yumi) is also recommended. This traditional entertainment can be enjoyed by everyone, young and old, children and elderly alike. Afterwards, don't forget to try the Takayama Ramen.
In the morning, get up early and go to the morning market. Morning markets are held daily at two locations in the city. The Miyagawa morning market is a 3-minute walk (about 220 meters) away. At the morning market, you can buy freshly harvested vegetables, traditional handicrafts, and souvenirs. The Jinya morning market is a 5-minute walk (450m) away.
