Hi, I'm Stefano, 40 years old, father of three wonderful kids and married with Chiara, teacher and tourist guide.
I've studied as graphic design, I love the visual art, painting in particular: I'm a simple person but I don't like the banality.
At some point in my life I wanted get me in the game sharing my home with those are looking for a new idea of welcoming: my inclination for the well done jobs and my empathy have done the rest.
Because I’m sure the house I live is the right location in a special town: Assisi, place of spirituality, art and magic atmospheres.
Welcoming for us is also try to tell some of that magic!
Welcome to Il Vico del Poeta, a small, intimate and cozy facility where professionalism but also a hint of uniqueness are true values.
Via Jorgensen is located few meters below the ancient fort, the Rocca Maggiore.
That's a typical and nice street few steps from the main square, Piazza del Comune, and where was the ancient roman settlement.
The arch and the stone decorations few meters from your entry are from the X century: the Madonna fresco and the others remains (upon which is possible to recognize signs of pastel used to sketch the painting) are more recent.
This quiet and magical street is called Via Jorgensen because the Danish poet J. Jorgensen lived here for a long time: a plaque on the wall remembers him as Assisi honorary citizen.
And this is already enough to give an idea about where we are: in the middle of history, culture and beauty.
Few meters down there's the amazing belvedere of Santa Maria delle Rose:
the sunset view here has no price.
Now you just need a glass of wine!
