After traveling across Europe, at just 25 years old, she decided to return to the land of her parents: a stunning and authentic corner of Sicily, where the connection with nature is deeply rooted in the culture, and where one can still breathe the true “Italian dream.” Yet, it is also a place often marked by people leaving, convinced there is “no future” here. Viviana chose to see things differently: to value the territory and help others rediscover it through the eyes of those who live it every day. Local House was created to welcome travelers into authentic Sicilian homes — houses that belong to those who no longer live on the island year-round — giving guests the chance to experience local life in the most genuine way. Surrounded by greenery and the scent of Sicilian lemon trees, just 100 meters from the beach, stands Rifugio sul Mare – a charming, independent cottage with a private patio, ideal for two people. Equipped with all the comforts for a perfect seaside getaway, the house offers air conditioning (hot/cold), Wi-Fi, washing machine, and a kitchen with induction cooktop. It is also fully equipped for remote working. Rifugio sul Mare is a stand-alone unit with a kitchen, bathroom, and double bedroom. Outside, you’ll find a relaxation area with chairs, sun umbrella, and patio – ideal for dining, lounging, and enjoying a barbecue. The entire space is for your exclusive use, offering maximum privacy and peace. The house is surrounded by a large lemon garden, and the beach is just a 100-meter walk away.

We are located on the beach of Piana di Caronia, a green area surrounded by lemon trees, just 100 meters from the sea. The nearest villages are Caronia Marina (3 km away) and Santo Stefano di Camastra (5 km away). This is a peaceful area, immersed in nature and overlooking the sea — perfect for those seeking relaxation and authenticity. We are within the Nebrodi Park, where you can enjoy many nature trails and hikes surrounded by greenery. Nearby, you can visit several charming villages, such as Cefalù and Capo d'Orlando. Right in front of us are the Aeolian Islands, which can be easily reached by hydrofoil from Milazzo.
