Le Antiche Mura is a historical property in the medieval village of Semproniano (GR), conveniently located in northern Maremma between the green slopes of Mount Amiata and the natural spa of Saturnia. Recently renovated respecting original materials and techniques, Le Antiche Mura is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday that combines the charm of traditions and the modern comforts, which will make your stay unforgettable. Four bedrooms, two single and two double: four different styles inspired by the original decorations, entirely hand-painted. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, a desk, a wardrobe, TV, and wireless internet connection. Our guests have access to the kitchen, the dining room, the fireplace hall, a comfortable parlour, the library, and the secret garden. Le Antiche Mura derives its name from the location: the building, originally built in the 15th century, rests on the old circle of walls next to the Romanesque church of San Vincenzo.
I am a professional that, after retiring, is enjoying traveling and meeting new people. To host visitors at my place is a a way to introduce them to our beautiful region and to its traditions, thus making their stay a memorable one!
The higher Maremma is one of the naturalistic treasures of Tuscany. The extraordinary variety of landscapes will let you experience the green slopes of Mount Amiata, the ideal location for hikers, as well as the wide open countryside towards the coast. Le Antiche Mura is a convenient base for your discovery of the region: mountain hiking trips, relaxing baths at the Saturnia natural spa, the lands of the Etruscans and the medieval villages, the fresh waters of the Albegna river, and the deep blue sea between Talamone and the Monte Argentario. Along with natural beauties and historic places, you will enjoy excellent food, superb wines, and many cultural events that will make you wish to come back.
