Property information

Farmhouse Castagnola is very much a family run B&B, not a hotel. The drive up the hill is not for the unadventurous , 4km of narrow , winding country lanes and the 176 steps DON'T look worse than they are but you WILL find a fantastic view, peace & tranquility and a very warm welcome. We have a silly dog, greedy cats , lots of steps , a small pool to cool off in and a quirkiness that you won't forget easily. Our rooms are clean and well maintained but decorated simply so you won't find a TV or minibar in your room but who needs a TV with such a great view and who needs a mini bar when you can come outside and share a beer or limoncello with us and the other guests? We pride ourselves on almost 20 years of welcoming people from all over the world to our little corner of paradise sitting between the mountains and the sea onthe Ligurian coast. A perfect retreat after a long day sightseeing Genova, Cinque Terre, Pisa or Portofino. On your arrival, Leo will happily bring your luggage up to the B&B so you can leave your car safely in the carpark, walk up the steps through the vineyards and olive groves and there'll be a cold drink waiting for you.
