My name is Riccardo, 41 years old, I am very precise and with a very good sense of humour!
I was born in Palermo, I lived 4 years in Milan and 2 in London, but I decided to live in the most beautiful city in the world: I madly in love with Palermo.
I love sport and design and I am passionate about each forms of art and architecture. I love listening to music, watching a good film and eating good food, especially Sicilian food.
My travels and my life experience gave me the opportunity to broad my mind to new cultures. Going to a different country is a perfect way to find inspiration and that is why I decided to become a host, I love cultural exchange and hosting you will enrich myself.
I take good care of my home and I am available for any information or advice on places of interest and to give you suggestions on the best restaurants and bars in Palermo.
One is located inside the ZTL, within the building called Palazzo Lampedusa, former home of Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of the famous novel The Leopard.
The palace is located in the Castellammare district, opposite to Palazzo Branciforte, a library and museum with archaeological, majolica, philatelic and numismatic collections. In addition, a wing on the ground floor hosts “the Città del Gusto”, the famous Gambero Rosso cookery school. Adjacent to the school, in an extraordinary architectural setting, the prestigious Branciforte Restaurant is also available outside museum opening hours.
A few steps away you can admire:
- Teatro Massimo, the largest opera house in Europe, built by Ernesto Basile
- Via Maqueda, one of the city's main street, where you can find souvenir and street food shops as well as countless churches and monuments
- La Cala, a natural arch-shaped inlet of the sea between Via Francesco Crispi and the Foro Italico and the oldest port in the city of Palermo. Currently converted into a tourist port, it is ideal for strolling, jogging or relaxing with a cocktail.
