Hotel Skálholt is a 3 star hotel that offers various accommodations in the countryside on the Golden Circle route. We manage a 18 bedroom hotel, 2 cottages and a hostel. The location is great since it's near many popular sites in Iceland and easy to take day trips from Skálholt like the Golden Circle, South Coast and the highlands of Iceland. The hotel is situated on a landmark since the area was once the Capital of Iceland. Skálholt is still the main church place for the south of Iceland and the church Skálholtskirkja is a popular site to see. We have a Restaurant at the hotel that offers Icelandic meals. At the Restaurant we work well with growers and food producers in the area and try our best to showcase with our cooking and work the best that the farms have to offer.
