Our travel service is a family business that has been owned by the same family for over 20 years, Jóhanna Fjóla Kristjánsdóttir, Ágúst Waltersson and now our three children, Vera Kristborg, Valdís Theodóra and Ágúst Jóhann.

Stóra-Sandfell is a peaceful and friendly place 17 km. south of Egilsstaðir on highway no. 95 on the way between Egilsstaðir and Höfn. We offer our guests a nice camping place and accommodation in cottages or in separated rooms. We also offer horse tours in our beautiful area.
周边信息
Many nice walking paths are in the area, for example into Hjálpleysa which is one of the deepest valleys in Iceland. And the view from the top of the mountain Sandfell is quite magnificent.
Riding tours in the forest or up to the mountains can also be a enjoyable experience for the whole family and our guest get special discount.
Króklækur, a small stream, runs through the camp site. The stream is a child friendly stream that children spend hours around.
