Both us took a bold decision of retiring at 40 and here we are at our lovely abode, living a simple but happy life in the foothills of Himalayas.
Nearby treks—or what we call “Trails of Bheta” take you through villages, jungles, brooks, farm fields, pahadi irrigation canals etc. giving you a definite adrenalin rush with an occasional glimpse of the mighty snowcapped Himalayas.
Baijnath Temple (6 kilometers drive from Trails of Bheta!) - A 1000+ years old temple is known for its exquisite architecture, specially the statue of Parvati Mata carved in a beautiful black stone. This temple is accompanied by a beautiful reservoir lake where tourists often stop by to enjoy the boat rides.
Anasakti Ashram (10 kilometers drive from Trails of Bheta!) - A peaceful place with a small prayer room popularized by Mahatma Gandhi, during his stay in 1929, when he coined Kausani as Switzerland of India. On a non cloudy day, you see a 180 degree view of the mighty snowcapped greater Himalayan range from here.
Rudradhari Waterfalls (18 kilometers drive from Trails of Bheta!) - A 2 kilometers of a jungle trek, takes you to this beautiful waterfall accompanied by a small cave temple. Trek enthusiast take a further 3 kms trek to the hill top to the Pinnath temple.
