I'm from Guirdolim, Chandor, Salcete, Goa. I joined the merchant navy at the age of 19. I quit sailing in 2005; from then on, I am handling my family's business.
The village of Chandor forms an important chapter in Goa's history. Earlier, called Chandrapura, it served as the capital during the Bhoja period as well as later during the reign of the Kadambas.
