This gorgeous, spacious cottage is ideal for golf and nature enthusiasts, seaside and cultural holidays. The Bunker's traditional style makes for a homely, cosy atmosphere, while the extensive, open plan living and dining room creates comfortable spaces for larger groups.  Set on the banks of the river Boyne, the cottage is in walking distance of the beach, the world class County Louth Golf course and the friendly 19th pub in Baltray and is just three miles from the historic town of Drogheda. 
The large (3/4 acre approx) garden is a hit with families and children affording beautiful views over the Boyne estuary bird sanctury which teams with wildlife. Guests can wake to the evocative sound of curlews or witness them swoop over the garden at dusk. 
All on one level, the house is great for children and the elderly, making The Bunker perfect for family get togethers. The 3/4 acre garden and Netflix are popular with guests. The super-king converts to twin beds, two other double/king beds, a triple room and a crib/cot for an infant make for versatile group accommodation. The house is really spacious with ample seating, a large dining table seating 10, two walk-in showers and a traditional Victorian bath.

Guests love the unspoilt sandy, shell strewn beaches at Baltray, Seapoint and Clogherhead. You can walk along the strand which stretches unbroken from Baltray to Clogherhead passing the iconic ship wreck dug deep into the sand.
The Bunker Cottage is perfectly sited to make the most of Ireland's Ancient East with Newgrange, Monasterboice, Melifont Abbey, Termonfeckin's tower house and all Drogheda's historic sites all within a half hour's drive while Kells, Slane and the Hill of Tara are all within easy reach. 
A haven for golfers with three top class 18 hole links courses nearby. Baltray is home to the County Louth championship golf course which has hosted the Irish Open, while Seapoint Golf course is just three miles away outside the village of Termonfeckin and Bettystown links course just the other side of the river. 
The friendly 19th Pub and County Louth Golf Club restaurant are in easy walking distance with World Gate Restaurant, Forge Field farm shop and cafe and a supermarket just up the road in Termonfeckin. Drogheda is steeped in history, and with a vibrant traditional Irish music culture, lovely pubs, bars and restaurants is great for nights out.
If you're looking for family fun, Drogheda's Funtasia waterpark is nearby and Ireland's only themepark, Tayto Park is half an hour's drive.
Along with golf, beautiful walks, swimming and sand, local activities include horse riding, water sports and canoeing.
