Cottages, Lodge B&B, and Reception are located on the grounds, formally known as Creagh Villa, which was the childhood home of Murial Gahan, during her time in Mayo founder of the Irish County Women's Association. Now part of Greenway Walking and Cycling Route.

Things To Do Mayo – We can assure you that one thing you’ll never have to worry about is… what to do next. From culture and sports to entertainment and shopping, you’re never too far from anything in Lough Lannagh as we’re right in bustling Castlebar in Mayo where activities are in great supply.
With plenty to do on your doorstep in the village itself, you are just a stroll away from Castlebar town which is a hive of activity. From walking trails to sports facilities and arts and culture, you‘ll be spoilt for choice. Take a moment to consider the many things to do in Castlebar, just a walk from Lough Lannagh.
In sports and leisure terms, a full children’s playground is just next door to mini soccer and basketball courts. Tenpin Bowling and a golf driving range will keep many distracted for hours. The tennis club and indoor swimming pool offer more activities in Castlebar for visitors.
With a seven-screen cinema and two theatres, Castlebar is a town well set up for culture vultures of all ages. The Linenhall Arts Centre & Theatre completes the arts heritage of the town. A wide range of entertainment and music venues (including the Royal Theatre) ensures guests in Lough Lannagh seeking culture will be well looked after. There are plenty of things to do in Castlebar!
You’ll be glad to hear too that there is a variety of lakeside and riverside walks and a public park at the Mayo Peace Park, Garden of Remembrance. As a large town, you’re also just a walk away from the hospital and library. And not forgetting the many pubs, restaurants and shopping outlets.
