Cromlech cottage is the gateway to the famous Kilclooney Dolmen which is around 4500 years old.
Years ago the Kilclooney Dolmen was known by the name of The Cromlech which is the Irish for dolmen.
We also have our own private walkway for you to go and explore acres of moorland that has loads of stunning scenery wild life.
Here you will witness the quietness of the moors.
Also on the land of our cottage is the four Donkeys known as Ned , Gervanchie , Brady and Houdini ( who is always escaping ).
Our cottage is very central to all the local amenities with Narin beach and the golf course only a mile away.
For all the kids who come to stay with us there is a full size children's play ground at the bottom of the lane which belongs to the Dolmen centre and is free to use.
When you come back from that exhausting day out you can walk over to the Kilclooney Tavern where you can enjoy a lovely pint of good old Irish Guinness, or a lovely glass of wine in a lovely relaxing atmosphere surrounded by very interesting characters who will tell you all about the history of the place.
The two local towns are Glenties and Ardara which has some lovely shops and pubs for you to visit .
Narin , Portnoo and Rosbeg are surrounded by miles of lovely golden beaches.
If you are into eating out some of the best sea food restaurants in the area are to be found here.
