My name is Margaret. I am the proud proprietor of the 'Billycan Guest Rooms'. I have 3 grown up children. I am greatly interested in local affairs and events. I have been a member and patron of the Kilkenny Music Festival. During the music competitions that are held, I have been the scorekeeper. I am also involved in fundraising for local charities.
I have a strong interest in supporting guests in seeing the beauty of Kilkenny. This includes local nature trails, sight-seeing the historic sites and the numerous local bars (for the craic!) and feast of award-winning restaurants (to fill your bellies!). I am always willing to provide my guests with information and direction to ensure they enjoy their stay as much as I love living in this wonderful city.

If you are driving, you may be interested in visiting Thomastown which is approx. 18mins from Kilkenny. Thomastown is famous for its Duiske Glass and also the beautiful Duiske Abbey. Another magnificent place to visit are the Dunmore Caves which are approx. 14 mins drive.
