This apartment is located in the Diocletian's palace in Split, Croatia. It's recently been renovated. We dedicated a lot of attention in preserving the authenticity of the palace and in arranging the interior in the old ambiance. We also were very careful in trying to adapt the apartment to modern times. All we have ever wanted is for our guests to feel as comfortable, as happier and as much "at home" as possible.
Some parts of the the apartment are under the protection of UNESCO, because in that part of the palace, the emperor Diocletian had his therms where he spent most of his time. The apartment is special because it's renovated in a way to put together the present and the Diocletian's time.
We hope that you will enjoy you stay and experience the spirit of the history that the apartment and its surroundings offer.
I'm a typical Dalmatian woman. We from Dalmatia are well known for being laid back, relaxed, but at the same time we enjoy in talking (sometimes very loudly - so be afraid, that's normal here, we are not yelling at you!), singing and meeting other people from all the world.
In my free time, I love reading, watching documentaries and I have my own little garden on my terrace. I'm also in love with bicycle riding, organizing dinners for my friends where we always talk and sing until the late in the evening.
The apartment is located in the oldest part of the town which is under UNESCO. So obviously, there are many historical sights nearby as well as many facilities likes bars, restaurants, shops, souvenir shops, market, banks, post offices, the ferry port (if you want to go to most of the Croatian islands), the bus and the train station, etc. All beaches are not that far as well, all at walking distance.
What is special about the centre of Split is that there is no traffic there. You are close to everything, but you might not see a single car anywhere around you, so the noise won't be a problem.
