We enjoy meeting our guests, we are both laid back, easy going professional practitioners. Ben is a keen surfer and travelled the world as a semi professional windsurfing instructor, living in Egypt, and was in the army for a few years, including Cyprus , Germany Australia and Greece. Michaela has also travelled the world and has worked for the WHO in Palestine and Italy. We both dearly love animals and are against animal cruelty.
We will go as far as we can to make your stay a pleasant one, our reviews reflect our guesthouse and attitude towards the people we meet.
We look forward to meeting people of all nationalities.
We offer an amazing breakfast , cheese, croissants, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, omelette, scrambled eggs , tea coffee, warm rolls,
We regularly have people come back to stay with us as people enjoy the relaxed, calming atmosphere in Wellingtons, you can see as much or as little of us as you like as we live totally separately.
住宿信息
Wellingtons is a peaceful laid back guest house in Fowey. We have the advantage of free parking right outside the property which is very hard to find in Fowey. We are situated in a set back residential area which is very peaceful, apart from the owls hooting at night and the seagulls in the morning (however, quieter than the centre of Fowey).
The rooms are nicely decorated and are modern. We live totally separately so the guest house is totally self contained. There is a communal area where guests can listen to music, read books from the extensive book collection, play games or just relax and have drinks.
The bedrooms all have coffee and tea making facilities and each room has a DVD friendly tv, guests can choose a DVD from our collection. Guests can use our established front garden on sunny days for coffee or other drinks.
Many of our guests like the fact that we are easy going, relaxed but attentive and professional, striving to go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible

There are many pleasant walks within just a few minutes of wellingtons, including the walk to readymoney beach with a pleasant walk into town via the esplanade, walks to St Catherines Castle, the cliff paths to Polkerris beach or you can take the ferry over to Bodinnick to take the Hall walk which is a beautiful walk round Pont ending up at Polruan where you can get the ferry back to Fowey. There are pubs at the beginning and end of the Hall walk.
Wellingtons is a short walk into Fowey, however we do have free parking which would not be the case if staying in the centre of Fowey. Fowey is an estuary town and is quite hilly, so in the centre you will still have to park in the main car parks which are a walk into the centre and spaces are very limited in the summer. Fowey has one of the deepest estuaries in Europe and in the summer cruise liners come to visit, as well as the huge tankers from all around the world which come to pick up the china clay.
Fowey is famous for being "Daphne Dumaurier country" as she lived here and wrote some of her books here.
Fowey community bus stops right outside Wellingtons every morning at 10.00 if you don't fancy the 9 minute stroll into town.
