2 Mews Cottages is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley, it is the perfect location to relax, recharge and explore the local area. The Lake District & The Yorkshire Dales are only a short drive away and there are lots of local walks. Pubs, restaurants, takeaways & shops are all within walking distance, the local Co-op is just across the road from our cottage for all food and beverages. Appleby Castle is open to the public and is in walking distance from the cottage. Our warm and cosy two bedroom cottage provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. Bedroom 1 offers two luxury single beds Bedroom 2 offers one double bed. Being dog lovers ourselves, we welcome your fury companions by arrangement only (max 2 dogs). We have no enclosed garden for your pets but we do have a terraced seating area with dog hook outside the front door of the property, there is a park just behind the cottage to exercise your pets. Outside the property is on-street parking, which allows 2 hours free parking. this is a disc zone parking area and the parking discs which you place in your car window can be found inside the cottage. During the hours of 6pm - 8am the parking has no restrictions. please return the discs to the cottage when you check out. Garths Head Road offers free 24/7 parking and is only a 2min walk back to the property via the park. We recommend to park outside the property while unloading. Directions to Garths Head Road Via Car: From the property drive in the opposite direction of the co op. Drive up the hill 320 yards and take your first left onto Drawbriggs Lane. Straight after turning, take your next sharp left onto Garths Head Road. You are able to park on this road for free. We recommend to drive along the road approx. 300 yards and park by the play park. There is a path next to the play park which runs directly down to the cottage.

Appleby is a friendly market town surrounded by history of old buildings with lovely walks along the fells. Quaint villages a short drive away offer walking, cycling and tea shops for you to enjoy. The town has a Saturday market with a variety of stalls. 2 Mews Cottage is central to the town. The pubs, shops & eating/takeaways are within a short walking distance, or a 1 minute drive into the town centre. From March 2024 there will be new Yoga classes running at the Coach House Studio next door to our cottage which will offer a variety of different Yoga classes including meditation and relaxation, all seem very popular so we highly recommend booking classes first What better way than book a stay at 2 Mews cottages with friends and enjoy a relaxing time attending the Yoga Classes which are run on a daily basis, a Timetable can be found in the cottage. The classes are available to book in advance. There are lovely woodland walks around the river Eden in the town (map in the information folder). The train station is a 8 minute walk, and the train line runs along the scenic Settle to Carlisle route. Appleby has a main pay carpark in the town but the on-street parking around the streets allows 2 hours (disc zone) free parking. You can park your car opposite the cottage During the hours of 6pm - 8am the parking has no restrictions. Discs for parking are inside the cottage.
