A lovely location which was remote and quiet, but easy to get to amenities. Lovely to just be able to sit in the quiet and watch the horses and enjoy a coffee outside when the weather allowed.

Situated in the beautiful hills of North Wales, this newly renovated one bedroomed cottage is part of our period stone farmhouse dating back to the1850s. Standing in 8 acres of rolling fields, with its own private entrance, parking and garden, Orchard cottage is a rural retreat to come home to. Inside, there is a cozy lounge with patio doors to the private garden. A bright, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven, and microwave. Upstairs is a comfy double bedroom, and spacious bathroom with a shower and an elegant roll top bath - perfect to soak in and enjoy the views of the idyllic Welsh countryside after a day of exploring. There is a designated workspace on the landing with garden views. Outside, is your own garden with patio, seating, and fire pit for cooking. Our resident horses, Ben and Milo might join you for your alfresco dining. Surrounded by nature, the area has an abundance of wildlife. Several footpaths from the property mean you can easily explore the surrounding countryside. Whether you are craving a calm, cozy retreat, a romantic getaway, or to take advantage of the action-packed adventures North Wales has to offer, this is the perfect base. Please note, currently there is no washing machine in the holiday accommodation. Laundrettes are nearby with self service or laundry services (wash, dry, fold/press). Details are given in house booklet.
A mile from the property is the Cross Keys, an independent pub serving locally sourced quality food in a warm and welcoming environment. Perfect for a pint by the fire. Just an 8-minute driveaway is Park in the Past, a unique heritage and conservation centre comprising 120 acres of woodlands and wetlands, and a 35-acre lake suitable for wild swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Nearby attractions: It is 7 miles to the charming market town of Mold, home to Theatre Clwyd, Wales’ largest production theatre, and several independent bars, restaurants and shops. 10 miles to the beautiful Clwydian Range, including Moel Fammau the highest summit, which can be seen from the grounds of Orchard Cottage. 10 miles to One Planet Adventure mountain biking trails and walking trails. 12 miles from the beautiful riverside town of Llangollen, check out its Oggie shop for delicious homemade pies (vegetarian and vegan options available). 14 miles to the historic cathedral city of Chester, renowned for its Roman walls and Tudor style arcades. 27 miles to vibrant maritime city of Liverpool, for the football and music fans.
