Believed to be about 250 years old our traditional Irish cottage near Ballycastle is perfect for a romantic weekend, a short break or a totally relaxing longer stay. With a log burning stove, comfy beds and spectacular sea views you won’t be disappointed with this is gem of a place. Just 50 minutes from Belfast International airport, 1 hr 15 mins from Belfast City Airport or about 2 hrs 30 minutes from Dublin airport. On the beautiful Causeway Coast, near to many tourist destinations and Game of Thrones filming locations. We supply complimentary breakfast items like milk, eggs, cereals, tea, coffee, sugar and of course there's oil, salt and pepper and a special treat from us! Travel cot and high chair available on request. I am sure you will love your stay at Tornaroan Cottage and please be assured that I have cleaned the cottage personally to a very high standard and there is also a large range of cleaning products in the cottage.
After living and working abroad, travelling extensively when single, married and as a family I have settled in Ballycastle with my husband to enjoy a calmer and simpler way of life. We fell in love with Tornaroan Cottage the moment we saw it, the view blew us away and the old Irish cottage is a rare find here so and after buying it we decided to renovate to share it with others We have rented loads of places ourselves, some we liked, some we didn't, some were wonderful a few were disasters! With all our experience we hope that we have made Tornaroan Cottage into a well equipped and perfect holiday home that you will love staying in, will want to return to and would happily recommend it to a friend. If you want a peaceful, quiet place to unwind in, a real fire to sit in front of and a wonderful view to look at then why go anywhere else?
This is a beautiful area right on the north coast of Northern Ireland in an area of outstanding natural beauty called the Causeway Coast and Glens. It has so many places nearby like National Trust properties, Game of Thrones filming locations, Golf courses, Bushmills, Belfast and of course the stunning Causeway Coast road ( voted one of the most scenic drives in the world by Lonely Planet) that you could easily spend a week based here visiting the whole of Northern Ireland all within a three hours drive. Ballycastle is a quiet little town with a beautiful beach (only minutes away from the cottage) and very popular with families or for an ice cream on a Sunday afternoon and ideal for golfing, tennis, cycling and walking.
