Brand new for 2022, The Lydden Bell Bed and Breakfast is nestled within the quaint rural village of Lydden, near Dover, Kent. Converted from a grade 2 listed barn, it comprises of 5 letting rooms, finished to a high modern standard, yet still maintaining original features. The Lydden Bell Freehouse, itself a grade 2 listed traditional Kentish Inn, has been on the site since the 16th Century. It serves food all day, and will be available for use by all guests. Providing modern British food, as well as traditional pub classics there is something for everyone. Recently refurbished, the atmosphere here is relaxed and friendly. We pride ourselves on the quality of our locally sourced food, and our selection of locally produced beers and we offer outstanding food and service everyday. We also have a large beer garden that over looks the valley. There is also a recently landscaped communal garden for use by room guests only which boasts the best views in the area. Lydden itself is set in a beautiful steep sided valley with grazing pasture and pockets of woodland. The Lydden and Temple Ewell Downs National Nature reserve is within easy walking distance, and is famous for its chalk grassland habitat and species including the adonis blue butterfly. The port of Dover and the channel tunnel are both only 10 minutes away, making an ideal stop over for trips to and from the continent. New high speed wifi now in all areas from January 2023

We are based in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the rolling hills of Lydden. Conveniently placed just off the A2 between Canterbury and Dover and in close proximity to the channel tunnel and Dover ferry port.
We are close to the historic city of Canterbury, and the legendary Dover Castle. There are many notable golf courses in close proximity including Royal St Georges and Princes at Sandwich Bay. There are many local walking routes within Lydden and the surrounding villages.
