The property was built in the 1890s and stands on the west bank of the River Severn, with picturesque views from almost every window, It has a spacious interior and is enveloped by a fantastic stretch of beautiful Shropshire countryside.
This idyllic holiday let rests in an unusual location, with the Severn Valley Railway being within a few minutes walk. It is perfect for lovers of the country and an admiration for historic steam trains. Guests can see the steam engines go by from the property. Visitors can catch the train from Highley station to either Bridgnorth or Kidderminster.
The house is in a very quiet location and benefits from no traffic noise, (apart from the SVR trains).
The property consists of a three bedroom house with a separate studio apartment. In the main house there are three bedrooms, a combined lounge and dining area with a sofa bed and a separate lounge. All of the ground floor, (apart from the front lounge) benefits from underfloor heating. The front lounge has a gas fire. There is a walk in shower in the downstairs bathroom and a small cloakroom size WC on the first floor. There is free parking for up to four cars and visitors also have use of the garden, an outside dining area and a BBQ.
The separate studio apartment has a walk in shower, a sofa bed in the lounge, a basic kitchenette and a wardrobe.
If you require a booking for more than three bedrooms and an additional walk in shower, please book the main house and then email to book the studio apartment for which there will be an additional charge. The Studio apartment is only let out with the main house.
If you are a fishing party, there is a large enclosed porch to store and dry fishing equipment.
Please note the neighbouring house have a right of access across the side of the property.

This secluded location is within walking distance to the famous River Severn, which also has fishing available which is payable locally. The Severn Valley Railway Highley station and engine shed are a few minutes walk away. It is set within a vast region of vibrant grassland and ancient woodland and offers many walking opportunities from the doorstep.
Places to visit locally include Daniels’ Mill, Hampton Loade, Chelmarsh reservoir, Arley and the Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve offering fantastic fun to be had with the whole family outdoors. A bit further afield are Telford, (which includes Ironbridge, Blists Hill Victorian Village, Telford shopping centre, Telford park, Telford Ice rink), Kinver and the rock houses, the Market town of Ludlow, (including Ludlow castle and local markets), Clee Hill and Stourport-on-Severn and Shropshire Hills AONB.
