The Cottage sits in the grounds of Noyadd Trefawr, a Grade II* listed Welsh gentry house.
It is a detached early C18th agricultural building now converted into a stylish, comfortable space. Featuring high ceilings and a large open-plan sitting room with a dining area and a new kitchen, the space is perfect for families or groups of friends.
Enjoy a cosy log-burner, organic cotton towels and crisp white linens, a private terrace and access to the private 10 acre grounds of Noyadd Trefawr.
I used to be a fashion journalist, antique dealer and was then an English teacher for 16 years.
Brought up in Brecon and Radnorshire, I have been lucky enough to be able to come back to Wales with Quentin, my husband.
We fell in love with Noyadd Trefawr and are making a home that we hope will give pleasure to others and keep the mansion in good shape for posterity.
We have two wonderful grown up daughters who live in London and a rather elderly cat - Chumley.
We will welcome you and show you to the cottage and be available should you need us. However, we are sensitive to guests' desire for privacy while on holiday.
We would suggest you drive up to the main house to unpack for the Cottage but there is then a car park just outside the gateposts to the house for guests' parking during their stay.
Noyadd Trefawr (our home) is the hall house of a small settlement that is thought to date back to the fourth and fifth centuries. The house and estate were significantly rebuilt in the 1820s by Admiral William Henry Webley-Parry and many of the outbuildings (including the Cottage) probably date from this period. Many of these buildings have been preserved.
