Stone's Throw is a cosy two bed cottage terrace just moments from the River Ouse allowing guests the pleasure of a short riverside walk to all the major York attractions. Parking is available in nearby paid car parks and some local free parking spots that the host can direct you too. A comfortable holiday home in a fabulous area of York, very close to the city and the famous “Bishy Road” just minutes from the house. The property has everything that you need during your short stay in York. Boasting two large bedrooms, (one double and one twin) The master bedroom has a huge en-suite bathroom and there is a bathroom on the ground floor. Downstairs you will find a comfortable and cosy lounge, with a flat screen TV, a spacious dining area and pool table which leads to the kitchen. The kitchen has everything that you need, including a coffee machine. This leads off to the courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. The ground floor bathroom is equipped with a shower. The downstairs living room is equipped with a sofa bed. Please note, as this is an old Victorian property the stairs to the first floor are quite steep so may not be suitable for small children or adults with mobility issues, however the downstairs has a pull out bed. There is a full bathroom and kitchen downstairs so that those with mobility issues can effectively use the downstairs as a single ground floor flat if necessary. Centrally located to the south of the city center and with the famous Bishopthorpe Road on the doorstep. The property is located on a quiet residential neighborhood. Our neighbors are very lovely people and they appreciate quiet guests. For this reason we do not host stag or hen parties. Pets are not allowed.

Incredible vibrant neighborhood. Amazing people, amazing pubs, and restaurants. The house is within walking distance to all attractions, be it the minster, the ancient city walls, the historic and picturesque Shambles/ Diagon Alley, ghost tours, racecourse, railway museum, chocolate experience, castle & viking museums, art galleries and theatre. York has everything for all ages.
